If you want to watch this movie, you can download it for free. It's an interesting movie. Raises some interesting points, but it's also heavily biased and uses a lot of "opportune" cuts. Basically if you watch it you'll most likely either wind up hating Bush and his administration or you'll hate Michael Moore and his attempt to force his opinions down people's throats.

Hide and Seek is a new DeNiro movie. It looks pretty good actually. The trailer did at least.

So George Lucas is constantly updating his original Star Wars. First in the rerelease and then in the DVDs. So what did he change? This site shows a lot of them (if not all of them). Pretty interesting. DVDAnswers also has it for the Empire Strikes Back.

The Least Likely is a little video that MTV used for their voting commercials to help get Asian Americans to vote. But there's apparently a chance that this will be turned into a movie or something? Features Ming-Na Wen, Kelly Hu, Maggie Q, Russell Wong, Tamilyn Tomita, and John Cho. Btw this thing is like 20 seconds long so really don't expect much.

This is an awesome Flash movie. It's very very stylized. Think the most stylized parts of Kill Bill and take it a few notches further. A lot of interesting effects.

The Grudge is the US remake of a Japanese horror movie called Ju-On. It's being directed by the same guy who did the Japanese versions. Actually the guy basically made four versions of the same movie and now this is the fifth! But anyways the story goes something like there's this house where these people died in and their spirits have a grudge against all the living so all living people who go in die. It's not really gory and the scare factor comes from people popping up where and when they're not expected. (Usually without the loud noise thank god). The website for the American version is kinda neat. Though it does use the loud noise thing a bit.

Need I say more? It's safe for work in that there's no nudity. But it does have a scantily clad female in it so use your own discretion.

SomethingAwful had a bunch of good photoshop fridays, but I haven't really seen one recently that I thought were very good. Until this one. There's a lot of good ol' fashioned corny humor it them. For example: Man on Fire's prequel is "Man Standing Precariously Close to an Open Flame."

Zhang Yimou's new movie. It was chosen as Best International Foreign Flick by the Academy Awards. I've been watiing for this one for a while. Again, Zhang Ziyi is in it. Not sure of what kind of role she has. Here's a teaser.

Stage adapted version of the sci-fi movie. This could be really interesting. Either way, it sounds like Broadway is getting desprate for ideas.

Here's an interesting article about Asians in American films. Asians are underrepresented in the media. If you haven't noticed they're mostly cast as
  • (male) The nerd
  • (male) Kung fu master
  • (female) Dragon lady
  • (female) China Doll
  • (female) Kung fu master though less common than the men
  • (female) News caster
It's a pretty interesting read if you care about the topic.

Fans of Friday the 13th should enjoy this article from the Onion. I've barely seen any Friday the 13ths and I was chuckling. Maybe it's just me though.
