Bollywood (ie India's Hollywood) puts out a lot of movies but most of them have these long song/dance numbers in it; no matter what the movie type is. Here is an example of an Indian movie featuring... Superman? Well, Hindiman? Youtube video (flash based).

Sadly enough I completely missed this special effect when I went to watch the movie, but in a flashback with Magneto and Professor X, they actually digitally youthened them. This web site shows before and after shots as well as discussing how the effect was achieved.

This is a clip from a Chinese short film apparently named Niao Long Shan Jiao Fei ji (Terroists of Birdcage Mountain). It features Saddam trying to find an entertainer. It's pretty amusing. Youtube video (flash bbased).

Kintaro Walks Japan is a movie made by Tyler from the last Amazing Race. He was the blond hippy. He basically decides to walk from the south to the north tip of Japan so that he can spend more time with his Japanese girlfriend and to find the birthplace of his father. He spends about 5 months in the country and actually learns to speak Japanese pretty well and really gets to know quite a lot of people. After watching the movie, I have a lot of respect for him and what he did although maybe it was a bit silly to walk across Japan for a girl he just met. The movie though is pretty impressive and edited quite well.

The Lake House is a new Keanu Reeves/Sandra Bullock movie. Watching the trailer I immediately thought, wait a minute, this is another Asian film remake! What the heck! Just from the trailer, you can definitely tell it's a remake of Il Mare (Shiworae). Bah, I'm sick of Asian remakes, though this one is definitely a better candidate for a remake than My Sassy Girl which is also scheduled to be remade since the Korean culture had a lot to do with My Sassy Girl.

The Fast and the Curious is done in the same vein as "Shining", "Brokeback to the Future", and "Toy Story 2: Requiem". This one has Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in a nice gay romantic movie.

Sometimes, something is so stupid that it's actually kind of funny. Here's a video of a scene from Kill Bill Volume 1 but they added in some sounds from Super Mario Brothers. Stupid? Yes. Funny? I dunno, it made me chuckle. Video embedded in web page.

After all the redone movie trailers like Shining, and Brokeback to the Future, we have Toy Story 2: Requiem. This one is Toy Story 2 footage spliced and dubbed over using the sound track and voices from Requiem for a Dream.

If you're bored, with this site you can pick an Indian film clip and add your own subtitles. Then you can send it to people. It uses Flash and it's a tad slow loading, I'm assuming cuz of the load. For example, I just made this one.

Wow the Polish have some pretty kick ass movie posters that they made themselves. They look really artsy and I actually like them a lot.

As most people know Brokeback Mountain is a critically acclaimed films about gay cowboys. Someone made a trailer for a movie called Brokeback to the Future which uses clips from the Back to the Future movies for some hilarity.

Well, seeing that I'm a huge fan of the Silent Hill games, I couldn't resist posting this interview with the director Christopher Gans (of Brotherhood of the Wolf fame). Why do I have big hopes for the movie? Because
1) I love the games.
2) They seem to have approval from the people who created the games.
3) I believe the Akira Yamaoka is doing the music.
4) Chris Gans apparently is a video game freak and likes Silent Hill a lot.

If you're a fan of the TV Series Firefly or the movie Serenity, here's how you can make an origami model of Serenity. Looks pretty hard core to make.

The Silent Hill Movie page is up and live but has nothing really useful. On the other hand, Yahoo! Movies has the trailer. Supposedly it's coming out 4/21/2006. I'm excited, but I'm not sure how it's going to turn out from the trailer. Some parts about it I like, others... I'm worried about. Still really excited about it though.
