If you don't know, Uwe Boll is the director of cinematic masterpieces, "Alone in the Dark" and "House of the Dead." Apparently, the original script for Alone in the Dark was quite different than the crap that's on the movie screens.

I'm not sure if it's a real article, but either way, it's pretty funny.

If you watch this and don't get someone else to watch it, you will die in a week. More Ring fun. It's probably one of those things the company makes to try to get people interested in something. In this case, Ring Two.

It's just like the video in the first one. Weird scenes put together.

Aristocrats posted by bichen
Some of you might have seen that South Park clip of Cartman telling the most degrading, disgusting, and foul "joke" ever. It really wasn't even funny. So what was up with that? Well, it's one of the most famous jokes amongst comedians. It's more of an impromptu speech where there's a punch line and an idea (make it as disgusting as possible). Several comedians have their own versions of it, but it's known as "The Aristocrats". There's a movie about this joke apparently.

Here's a little clip from it. Features a cheerleader and a cheerleading stunt! Pretty neat, I think they really did it since the girl does seem like she hurt herself a bit.

Edit (4/15/2005): So this link now redirects to BestBuy.com. Apparently this was in conjunction with movie theaters and cell phone companies as part of a campaign to get people to turn off their cell phones in a movie theater. So I dunno, I would doubt the authenticity of the video.

The Jacket stars Adrian Brody and Keira Knightley. Though I think Keira loses her British accent for this movie. It looks pretty interesting though.

Here's the trailer for the Fantastic Four movie. You know if you're a comic book geek or a Jessica Alba fan. It's quicktime format (well, it is from Apple's site).

Gun Kata posted by bichen
So Sam and I watched the movie Equilibrium recently. It's basically a mix of 1984 with the Matrix. Personally I thought the movie was pretty bad (horrible movie but had some very cool aspects). Sam liked it tho. But anyways, one of the silliest (and yet interesting) things they had was gun kata, a martial art that helped the user dodge bullets and hit more often. Watching them do it ranks somewhere between "awesome!" and "oh my god, how stupid can you get?"

There's a link to the trailer on the site.

Here's a PDF of AFI's top 400 movie quotes. Honestly if you ask me it's not that interesting, but whatever. It's still a list and lists are kinda interesting, right? Right?

So apparently it's been ruled that the Wachowski brothers stole the idea of the Matrix from a lady named Sophia Stewart. She had written a story called the Third Eye which was copywrited in the mid 1980's. Looking at what's supposedly parts of the script online I see this. The story part doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Matrix. The comic parts have too much to do with it. The weird part is supposedly she claims the Terminator stole from her story too, but the Terminator has already been sued for stealing ideas from stories that came out in the 60's (I think). Something's a bit fishy if you ask me.

As anyone who watches foriegn films (especially Asian) knows, the subtitles frequently leave something to be desired. But then again they can be a source of hilarity.

The Beast posted by cacheng
The Beast is supposed to premiere on 6/6/06. The movie is about a teen who discovers evidence that Jesus Christ never existed, which is a theory that is growing in popularity among historians.

Supposedly, the cast and crew have been sworn to secrecy until the day that the movie is released. If you google "The Beast movie" you'll find lots and lots of "nice" commentary by Christian fundamentalists decrying the movie.

IZO Trailer posted by bichen
IZO is a Japanese movie. I'm not really sure what the heck it's about but it looks neat. The trailer is available on that page, just click on the proper speed. (The site's in all Japanese though). Lots of sword action it appears along with some anachronisms? I dunno.
