Acoustic guitar in particular. Since I was trying to learn, I found this site. But to be honest, I got caught up in other things so I haven't really looked at it yet. I'll do it sometime!

Pretty racey advertisement. It's safe for work but another one that skirts the line. No nudity, but there's stripping and dancing involved. Flash movie.

Here's Sony BMG's official apology. If you haven't been following this story essentially some of the new Sony BMG "Copy Protected" music CDs require you to install their software to play on your PC. When you do it installs something pretty bad on your computer which can be used to hack or install viruses on your machine. Huge uproar so now they're apologizing (actually some execs tried to say "who cares?" at first).

If there's a song you wish you knew how to play but don't want to go out and buy sheet music, try this site. Yes, it's in French, but if you click on the top right corner where the US and UK flags are, guess what happens? Or you can just go here. In the top boxes though they're links to sites that SAY they have free sheet music. Skip that part and go down to their section (after it says "Free Sheet Music to Download").

Here's a video of two Chinese guys lip synching to Backstreet Boys. It's actually pretty funny. I heard they're actually being used to hawk stuff in China, though there's no confirmation about that.

It's on Google Video so it's a streaming flash player embedded in web page.

So this country music star was expecting a child. But he has some regrettable news about the child. Poor Chris Cagle. Actually, I feel bad for the guy.

So google has their video section in beta but there's plenty of people using it. I was looking at some of the videos of people singing and I found some good ones.
It's sad that this guy is singing for change on the streets... he has an amazing voice
These two are good. (singing songs from Rent)
This girl has a very jazzy voice

This cool site has tons and tons of cover art from weird, "vintage" albums. Here's one good example. Although beware because a few of the covers have naked people and other potentially not safe for work things on the covers.

101 things you didn't know about rock and roll. Some pretty interesting factoids like how the Beatles and Rolling Stones used to get drunk and party with the Beegees!!!

Although after reading through it, some of them seem to be wrong, like the one about the drummer from Def Leppard who lost his arm. I think that happened before Hysteria not Pyromania. Aw crap, I just admitted that I listened to hair band music.

And dance, and dance... This is a movie file embedded in a web page of a teenage girl singing a song and dancing. And no, she's not making up a song, it's a real song... (Hellogoodbye - Jesse Buy Nothing Go To Prom Anyways). It's mildy entertaining but then wait for a cameo in the background that I found utterly hilarious. It happens around the middle of it.

Apparently the web site may have some not safe for work ads. The movie itself is completely work safe though.

There's really not much I can say about rap/hiphop group First Blood except that they're freaking priceless. Listen to "Bounce Wigga" and you'll understand.

The Amazing Slow Downer is a nifty tool that you can use to slow music down (from mp3, wav, etc sound files) so you can transcribe it or figure out how to play it on whatever instrument you choose. Here's a screen shot. Now it DOES cost money but there's a trial version you can try. I haven't tried it yet so I can't tell ya how great or bad it is.

Edgen Animations does some pretty cool music for "film and gaming" (ie intended for use in film or games). The stuff I listen too are pretty good. Talented guy.

To be accused of sexing Tom Cruise or to be accused of being a Scientologist? Well, I'd say being accused of sexing Tom Cruise because I think people will believe you're a Scientologist because of it as a side effect. Rob Thomas says it's the Scientologist thing though.

I See Girls posted by bichen
A Ministry of Sound music video. WMV file. It's hotlinked from InternetDJ. It's a homage to the Monty Python's Meaning of Life skit where the guy gets to choose how he dies and he chooses to die being chased by a gaggle of girls in bike helmets. In that one they were topless, in this one the girls have sports bras on.
