Here's an article about self cleaning glass. Well, not quite self cleaning, but close to it. Neat concept, I wonder if it really works though.

If you watch Pride Fighting Championships, you might know who Mirko "Crocop" Filipovic is. For you who have no idea what I'm talking about, Pride is a UFC style no-holds barred (ok, there are definitely some rules) fighting championship where fighters from around the world gather and try to beat the shit out of each other. Anyways, Crocop is one of the fighters, a Croatian Kick boxer (he was once a cop, hence his nickname) who is/was considered awesome. I say "was" because he recently lost 2 fights (his only 2 losses), but anyways, you really have to check out his highlight reel. It's brutally bad ass. And check out Sherdog while you're at it since it's a great site for "ultimate" fighting.

Here's an interesting concept: a fat shifting pill. You still have the same amount of fat in your body but it shifts the fat away from your abdomen... Weird.

Creed breaks up. Why? Apparently the lead singer (and lyric writer) didn't get along with the rest of the band. And he and the guitarist (who's also the music writer) weren't coming up with anything. A funny part of the article:
The pinnacle of Creed's problems took place in Chicago in December 2002. Whether Stapp was inebriated or simply sick, as he had claimed, his performance was so terrible that some members of the crowd sued the band for sucking. For a band proud of its reputation for exciting and passionate performances, such a show was inexcusable. Some fans even balked at Stapp's heavy-handed Christ-like poses, which he claimed symbolized that he "had some things going on in [his] life," "kind of felt alone" and "didn't think anybody had [his] back at the time" (see "Creed Singer Defends 'Symbolic, Personal Gesture' He Made At 'Drunken' Show").
Great stuff.

How you remind me of someday. Some one made a shockwave application that plays "How you remind me" on the right channel and "Someday" on the left channel so you can tell how similar the songs are.

Oh and also there's this great video of Nickelback getting the cold shoulder from Poland. Hehehe. It amuses me because this quote of his is pretty dumb
"If trends continue the way they are, there isn’t going to be any new music for people to download," says Kroeger. "From a guy who runs a record company, who produces bands and plays in a band, it’s a horrifying thought. I love playing my guitar for people and singing for people and I would hate to think that could all be taken away with a couple of clicks on a mouse."

As the people on Fark pointed out, making money off of your music doesn't stop you from playing your guitar or singing. In fact, if you weren't interested in making money then you'd WANT your music to be spread to a wider audience. There's nothing wrong with wanting money, but it's just stupid to pretend your interest isn't money based.

Yahoo! has a toolbar that you can download. It comes with "Anti-Spy" which claims to remove spyware and other unwanted programs. But what you don't know is Yahoo! has a stake in some spyware companies. So what to do? Yahoo!'s anti-spy doesn't default to removal of certain adware that it makes money off of. To remove any of these you have to specifically tell it to look for it. I dunno, I'll stick with Ad-aware and Spybot (linked on the right side of this page).

I'm sure most of you have seen that clock that you pull and it swings around leaving behind the time floating in the air. Well, Nokia is making a cellphone with that technology. Pretty sweet, though probably not all that useful.

MMODating posted by bichen
MMORPGs, as gamers know, stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games. Ie Everquest, World of Warcraft, Lineage and a whole lot more. On the other hand MMODating, I would assume stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Dating. The thing that cracks me up is you look at the top area and they have the male model, female model, and the model couple. Then you go to the bottom of the page and you see people that actually look like what you would expect from gamers. :)

Awful Plastic Surgery has a bunch of pictures of celebs with what they consider to be awful plastic surgery. Some of them I really don't agree with. But some I do. Especially Catherine Bosley's. Worst boob job ever. Pretty gross and dumb looking. Not safe for work but then again it IS censored, so I guess it might be (she's topless in panties but her top is censored). Your call.
